The story so far...
Amberley Black Horse, in the centre of the picturesque village of Amberley in West Sussex, nestling in the stunning South Down’s National Park. This beautiful Grade II listed Inn has undergone extensive refurbishment by Johnnie and Emma Kennedy and reopened on 1st December 2018.
The Black Horse had previously been closed for several years and its' future looked bleak. However, the villagers of Amberley fought hard to keep it and they won. The Kennedys saw the potential in this beautiful building in 2016 and purchased it in order to refurbish and add eleven bedrooms and a Garden Room.
Emma and Johnnie are passionate about both design and hospitality, they always create establishments in which they would like to Drink, Eat, and Sleep!
The Amberley Black Horse is the perfect environment for customers to relax with a pint or a cocktail, take a quick snack as they conquer the South Downs Way, enjoy a celebration supper or settle for a weekend stay in idyllic surroundings.
