Dear Friends and Neighbours
Following the latest advice from the Government we have taken the hard decision to close the business until it is possible to reopen.
All table reservations have been automatically postponed for the foreseeable future. If you have paid a deposit this can be rolled over or used as a gift voucher towards a stay or dinner when we re-open.
We have automatically postponed all room bookings and you will be able to rebook at no further charge or with any time/date restrictions once we reopen.
We wish everyone the best of health and hope this is over as soon as possible.
Look after your friends and families, stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you all again in the near future.
From Johnnie, Emma and all the team here at Amberley Black Horse.
The story so far...
Amberley Black Horse, in the centre of the picturesque village of Amberley in West Sussex, nestling in the stunning South Down’s National Park. This beautiful Grade II listed Inn has undergone extensive refurbishment by Johnnie and Emma Kennedy and reopened on 1st December 2018.
The Black Horse had previously been closed for several years and its' future looked bleak. However, the villagers of Amberley fought hard to keep it and they won.
The Kennedys saw the potential in this beautiful building in 2016 and purchased it in order to refurbish and add eleven bedrooms and a Garden Room.
Emma and Johnnie are passionate about both design and hospitality, they always create establishments in which they would like to Drink, Eat, and Sleep!
The Amberley Black Horse is the perfect environment for customers to relax with a pint or a cocktail, take a quick snack as they conquer the South Downs Way, enjoy a celebration supper or settle for a weekend stay in idyllic surroundings.
Once we reopen.
