Terrace and Garden
Our Terrace and Garden is open for outdoor eating and drinking, come rain or shine! Please be aware some seating will be without shelter so come prepared for sunshine or showers! As always we will do our best to keep you warm with our chimineas and fire pit.
We will be opening our bbq and garden bar most weekends. Our spacious walled garden has spectacular views over the South Downs with plenty of space for dining and drinking.

Our restaurant is now open. Adhering to guidelines, we are allowed to accept tables of up to 6 people or two households.
The elegant 60 seater restaurant has a relaxed ambience with beautiful fireplaces and a view into the kitchen, enabling customers to see Head Chef Tom Hayler hard at work, creating truly memorable dishes.
Tom and his team are passionate about working with seasonal, local produce and offering the best culinary experience, from simple homemade terrines and chutneys, to our delicious grilled lobster with confit garlic alioli and truffle fries.

We would strongly recommend you make a reservation for a table with us as we are operating on reduced numbers to ensure social distancing. We also ask that you arrive at the time your table is booked. We will offer table service only.
Please note: we are unable to guarantee requests for specific tables.
Group Bookings and Celebrations
To ensure that your food comes out on time and tasty, we generally require that groups of 8 or more either choose from a set menu or pre-order. If you have an enquiry for a larger group booking of diners please call our us to discuss your restaurant or function booking. Parties of 8 and over will be charged a discretionary service charge of 10% on their bill.

We are fortunate to have a brilliant team of innovative chefs in our kitchen so provided we are given enough notice we are always prepared to rise to the challenge and make you a cake to fit in with your celebration. Price varies depending on design, but starts in the region of £6.00 per person. Cakeage will be charged to parties who bring in their own dessert or cake at £3.50 per person. The cakeage will be waived if the party have ordered desserts.
Celebrating a special occasion or sumptuous treat?
You can also pre-order a selection of Tom's favourite dishes to either enjoy with us or to take-away. These dishes will need to be preordered, at least three days in advance. To place orders call 01798 831183 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
We can source whatever you wish, for inspiration perhaps consider our Whole Grilled Lobster, Dover Sole or Chateaubriand with bearnaise sauce (serves 2), all served with house salad, truffle fries and confit garlic aioli.
The Tack Room is as an extension of our restaurant and offers private dining for up to 14 people on one table or 20 people on three separate tables, so is ideal for small gatherings and celebrations. Once again, your reservation must meet current Government guidelines.

Amberley Black Horse
The Amberley Black Horse’s Bar is a great meeting place for the the village and surrounding local community of Storrington, West Chiltington and Pulborough. We have a large bar area with plenty of cosy corners so our guests can relax with a delicious house cocktail, glass of wine or one of our locally sourced real ales.
Our extensive Wine List is sourced from Ellis Wines of Richmond, purveyors of hand selected wines from around the world. During our 'extended break' we also decided to create an additional list of Emma and Johnnie’s favourite wines - please take a look here.
'A pint of local!'
We have our own cask conditioned 'Amberley’s Ale'. A classic blonde bitter, brewed for us by the award-winning Langham Brewery, based just up the road in Petworth. A very popular ale, we love it so much we use it in our fish batter!
We have some seating available for you to enjoy drinks both in the bar and also in the garden. These cannot be reserved and will be available on a first come, first served basis.
